Photothermoelectric AZO/SiO <sub>2</sub> /NiO Device

Transparent-conductive-oxide (TCO) materials and transparent devices combining photovoltage thermoelectric effects are still scarce. Hence, a new transparent-conductive-oxide/insulating/transparent-semiconductor-oxide (TCO-I-TSO) structure such is developed. It made of aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO)/SiO2/NiO thin films sequentially deposited on glass substrates. AZO exhibits thermo in response to gradient temperature absorption UV photons, while NIR photons the NiO layer. Photovoltage appears plane between layer when whole sample irradiated with near infrared light, it also depends thickness SiO2 This continuously monitored samples placed window facing south. Throughout day, varies from 0 300 µV proportionally light intensity.
